S O N O C U S  526

PURIST SOLID STATE PREAMP

DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCING  S O N O C U S  526, A PURIST SOLID-STATE PREAMPLIFIER ENGINEERED WITH UNCOMPROMISING CIRCUIT DESIGN

The  S O N O C U S  526 is the result of five years of focused development, combining meticulous engineering with long-term reliability. Every element of its design prioritizes signal integrity, channel separation, and power stability, avoiding the compromises common in mass-produced equipment.

DUAL MONO:

At its core, the 526 features a true dual mono architecture.

Each channel has its own transformer, independent power supply circuitry, and isolated grounding, minimizing inter-channel modulation and crosstalk. The result is a soundstage of exceptional width and depth, with precise imaging and clear spatial definition.

HIGH VOLTAGE OPERATION:

While most modern solid-state preamplifiers operate within ±18V rails, the 526 runs at ±30V, providing 60V of total headroom. This higher voltage increases linear signal swing, reduces transient compression, and improves overall linearity, allowing dynamic material to be conveyed with authority and ease.

TRIPLE STAGE PSU FILTERING:

The power supply employs a triple-stage filtering system with discrete capacitors and cascoded dual regulation, achieving over –120dB of power supply rejection. Noise, ripple, and residual hum are minimized, delivering a quiet background, tight low frequencies, and improved overall stability.

MODULAR OUTPUT:

The active gain stage of 526 is fully modular, allowing key circuitry to be serviced, upgraded, or replaced. By default, the 526 includes Sonocus’ proprietary discrete modules for clarity, control, and natural bass articulation.

Optional buffer modules provide alternate sonic character, while the modular layout enhances signal routing and reduces interference.

In short, the 526 delivers wide bandwidth, precise channel separation, and extremely low noise. Instruments and voices are placed naturally, dynamics remain controlled, and the presentation is coherent and stable.

Although solid-state, the 526 conveys a warmth and richness reminiscent of high-quality tube preamplifiers, but without their limitations. It combines the clarity, speed, and reliability of solid-state design with the immersive presence and musicality of tube sound, creating a listening experience that is both precise and emotionally engaging.
